Possum was launched in 2025 to meet the growing need for piano technicians across the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia.
Having studied Piano Technology in New York City under the in-house technician at the Mannes School of Music at The New School, I was trained in Steinway methods of tuning, voicing, and repair work, gaining a deep understanding of the piano inside and out.
In 2020, I moved to Tokyo, Japan and expanded into electro-mechanical pianos and vintage keyboards—learning to restore and repair Rhodes, Wurlitzers and Hohners. That work naturally carried over into electronic organs, synths, amps, and other vintage gear.
Now based back on the South Coast, Possum offers tuning, repairs and restorations for both acoustic and electric pianos. I’ve worked for clients in the US, New Zealand, The Cook Islands, Japan, and Australia, and am currently in the process of joining APPTA (Australasian Piano Tuners and Technicians Association).
Whether it’s a long-forgotten instrument or something a little out of the ordinary, feel free to reach out—I’m always happy to take a look and see how I can help.
